Transport in Sydney

As a backpacker, the transport is a crucial element for travel in Sydney. Public transport in Sydney is provided by an extensive network of public transportation operating in road, rail and water transport modes.

Buses
Sydney buses travel through the city and beyond almost 24 hours a day. Most of the bus routes within the City are prepaid only to reduce delay, which means you should buy a ticket before you get on board, there are ticket outlets all over the CBD and you can usually find one near the bus stop. there are some different options if you want to buy. such as my bus one. it could be used in ten times, the limitation for travel by this ticket is that you only can get on board for one section. another type is my bus zone ticket. The detail of how to buy the different tickets beyond the requirement is in the Sydney buses official website: http://www.sydneybuses.info/.

Trains
In Sydney, the train is a easy way to travel between or to hook up with services going to the northern, southern and western suburbs. Trains to the eastern suburbs, including Bondi Junction. en route to the famous Bondi Beach leave from Martin Place Station. the service of train run from 4am to around midnight on most train lines. All stations on the network have 24 hour ticket vending machines. the details of the timetable or the location, you can find it at the official website: http://www.sydneytrains.info/.

Ferries
The water transportation is another mode to travel in Sydney. Ferry services across Sydney's world-renowned harbour leave from the terminal at Circular Quay and travel to an array of harbour side destinations including Taronga Zoo and suburbs such as Balmain, Kirribilli, and Rose Bay. Services also travel to the northern reaches of the harbour at Manly and west along the Parramatta River. information detail is in website: http://www.sydneyferries.info/.

The above artwork was purchased with funds donated by Michael Darling, 1997
This work is currently on display at the MCA.
                                        soap, type C photograph, found object   H 72 W 70 D 29cm

These collections offer works by Australia's leading contemporary artists. This includes moving picture installations by Khaled Sabsabi, Kate Murphy and Shaun
Gladwell, and photography by Fiona Foley, Simryn Gill, Rosemary Laing, Tracey Moffatt.

The cafe has a fantastic view of the harbor, with both the opera house and the bridge. Really nice food with a great view - manages to avoid that real tourist, overpriced, tasteless food and come up with something special. Reasonably priced, great view and the food is really tasty.

Bondi Beach

For backpackers in Bondi, every night is Saturday night, however, the Sunday morning is horrible, which inevitably follows is less glamorous than your exotic location might suggest: waking up on a stranger's couch, hold a empty glass, body smells like swum in the tequila pool.

But never fear, whatever the level of your hangover in the morning, the Bondi has some tried and tested ways to make you feel human again.
For the strong-stomached, there are no shortage of cafes serving greasy big breakfasts into the early afternoon. such as Gertrude and Alice, Le Paris Go Cafe and Gusto promise a decent coffee as well as a hearty feed, especially Gertrude and Alice.

Gertrude and Alice

If you’re feeling brave, do not want to try bacon and eggs, in Campbell parade you can pick up a deep-fried foods from the fish and chips, and sit in the sun and be jealous of pedestrian who looks like got more than 3 hours of sleep in last night.

Moreover, the Stuffed Beaver on Bondi Road is introducing the “world’s best value Bloody Mary”, at $16.66, it comes complete with all the trimmings, including Chill infused vodka and a pickled egg.
